Asseco Platform Genius
AI agents for FMCG and CPG field sales and retail execution
An AI agent in Asseco Platform prepares decisions for your sales team, such as which stores each rep visits on each day of the planning period. Your team sees each decision and the reasons behind it.

The agent that plans your reps’ visits
Route Optimization Agent
Builds each rep’s visit plan for the whole planning period in Dynamic Route Optimization (DRO), a module of Sales & Retail Execution, our field sales solution. For each day of the period, it decides which visits go into the plan, based on three things.
-
Visit due dateA customer’s visit due date comes from the visit frequency and the date of the last visit.
-
Visit priorityA class A customer gets a higher priority than class B, and class B higher than class C. The priority also rises with every day a visit is overdue, and a business trigger, such as a promotion or a drop in sales, can raise it further.
-
Cost and fitThe cost of a visit is the time in the store plus the driving time. If the working time is not enough for all due visits, the agent keeps the visits whose priority is highest compared with their cost.
85% of planned visits took place after three weeks of using DRO at a coffee manufacturer. With the previous provider, which planned routes by geography only, 30–35% of planned visits took place.

AI capabilities in Asseco Platform Genius
Genius also includes AI capabilities that turn shelf photos and distributor files into data your team can work with. They work at customers today in Retail Image Recognition and Trade Data Hub. A capability gives you data. An agent prepares a business decision.
AI capability
Shelf recognition from a photo
A rep takes a photo of a shelf. Within seconds, Genius recognizes the products and shows shelf KPIs on the image, such as share of shelf and out-of-stock items, with up to 98% recognition accuracy in our internal benchmark.
Solution: Retail Image Recognition
AI capability
Distributor data matched to your store and product lists
Each distributor sends data in its own format, with its own codes. Genius matches every record to your store and product lists, so sales data from all your distributors becomes comparable. If a match isn’t certain enough, the record goes to your team. Your team’s decisions on uncertain matches are saved, so fewer records need review with each new file.
Solution: Trade Data Hub
How we design AI
The AI Hub: how it assigns tasks to AI agents
The AI Hub, part of Genius, sits between a product such as Mobile Touch, our app for reps, and the AI agents. An agent task goes through it in five steps.
When a business event happens in the product, the product sends the AI Hub a task with the context it needs. Your full data and the final saved result stay in the product.
The AI Hub applies the rules and the agent’s autonomy threshold (how much the agent may decide on its own), and passes the task to the agent.
The agent has no direct access to the product’s database. Personal data is removed before the task reaches the AI model. The model is chosen for the task and runs on servers in the EU.
A person approves or rejects the decision when the rules require it, and the result goes back to the product.
Every decision goes to the decision log: who, when, which agent, which rules, which model, what decision and what effect.

AI agents and AI capabilities
What exactly does an AI agent do in Asseco Platform?
In Asseco Platform, an AI agent prepares a business decision and shows the reasons for it. The Route Optimization Agent, for example, plans reps’ visits for the whole planning period. Shelf recognition from a photo and distributor data matching are AI capabilities in Asseco Platform Genius: they turn photos and files into data your team can work with.
How do you measure the effect?
For the Route Optimization Agent, we measure the share of planned visits that actually took place. For shelf recognition from a photo, we measure recognition accuracy: up to 98% in our internal benchmark.
Control and data
Who controls the agent’s plan?
Before the planning period starts, your sales manager sees the Route Optimization Agent’s plan and the stores the agent left out, and why. Your team sets the rules the agent works with: visit frequency, customer classes and plan settings.
How does the AI Hub handle our data?
Asseco Business Solutions is certified to ISO/IEC 27001:2022, with AI-based solutions in scope. In the AI Hub, the product sends a task with the context it needs, and the AI Hub passes it to an agent with no direct access to the product’s database. Personal data is removed before the task reaches an AI model, and models run on servers in the EU.
Integration
Do the agent and the AI capabilities work with our CRM or SFA?
Dynamic Route Optimization (DRO) connects through an API to your CRM, SFA or ERP, for example Salesforce. Retail Image Recognition also works as an add-on to your current SFA. Trade Data Hub works with our Mobile Touch app or your own sales app and sends data to your reporting tools (BI).
