Asseco Platform receives 9 Best-in-Class Category Distinctions in the POI 2026 Vendor Panorama

The Promotion Optimization Institute (POI) has awarded Asseco Platform Best-in-Class Category Distinctions in nine categories of its 2026 Consumer Goods Enterprise Planning (EPx) and Retail Execution (RetX) Vendor Panorama.
POI is an independent institute that evaluates planning and retail execution technology for consumer goods companies. All nine of our 2026 distinctions are in Retail Execution. One of them, Retail Merchandising, is new for us this year.

Category by category
What sits behind each of the nine 2026 categories

RetX Retail Merchandising
Merchandisers spend more hours in stores than anyone else working for a manufacturer, and many of them are employed by agencies. In Asseco Platform they work in the same system as the manufacturer’s own reps:
- One store list, one set of visit plans and one set of KPIs for in-house teams, merchandising agencies and distributor field teams.
- Shelf photos read by image recognition during the visit, with a list of what to fix before the merchandiser leaves the store.
- Visit results synced back to the manufacturer, so the brand sees the shelf the agency left behind.
RetX Predictive & Prescriptive Analytics (AI/ML/Agentic)
AI in our platform runs through Asseco Platform Genius and the AI Agents Framework. The framework groups AI agents into five classes: data unification, recognition, scoring and prioritization, context, and next best action. For an FMCG manufacturer that means:
- Promotion ROI predicted before the mechanics are locked, and the mechanics adjusted when the forecast says the uplift is not there.
- Dynamic route optimization that reorders the sequence of a rep’s day when priorities change.
- A briefing before the visit and a recommended next action in the store, prepared by agents from the store’s own data.

RetX Advanced Imaging Technology (IR/AR)
Retail Image Recognition reads the shelf from a photo at up to 98% accuracy. From that one photo a manufacturer gets:
- Product presence, facings (the number of units turned to the shopper), and competitor prices detected without manual counting.
- A comparison of what is on the shelf against planned promotions and listings.
- Augmented reality (AR) planogram compliance checks while the rep is still in the store.
RetX Coaching & Training
Field coaching runs on the same platform the reps use for their visits. That gives a field manager:
- Each step of a store visit visible in the same record the rep filled in.
- AI-driven prompts pointing to the gaps in a rep’s performance worth working on.
- Guided visit templates and digital training modules for new reps.

RetX Guided Selling
Guided selling workflows keep every rep, experienced or new, on the same footing during a customer conversation. The visit follows a set sequence:
- Check what the store has sold since the last call.
- Bring up the two or three SKUs worth pushing in this store.
- Capture the order and log what to pick up next time.
RetX Mobile UI/UX
We build the mobile side around what a rep or merchandiser actually does in a day. The first screen after login carries:
- The day’s route and the KPIs that decide whether the visit counts.
- Stock levels, order history, and pricing for the store in front of them.
- Photo capture with live feedback from image recognition.
- The suggestions from Retail Activity Optimization, in the same list as the rest of the visit.

RetX Omnichannel Engagement
The platform also carries the orders that never come from a store visit: telesales, eCommerce, B2B portals, and direct-to-consumer (DTC).
- Retailers sign in to self-service portals to place orders and manage promotions.
- Telesales agents follow scripted call flows for the stores nobody visits in person, which is how those stores get covered at all.
- Loyalty and rebate programs settle against the same order data.
RetX Playbooks & Customer Presentations
Reps walk into a store meeting with a presentation built from that store’s own numbers. In our platform that is Selling Stories, part of Sales & Retail Execution. Each one pulls distributor sell-out data, stock levels, and how comparable stores in the area actually sell, to:
- Show the retailer where the category stands in this store.
- Recommend promotions or assortment built for this particular store.
- Put a number on the expected return of the proposal.
Shelf space and secondary placements get negotiated on those numbers.

RetX Retail Activity Optimization (RAO)
Our Retail Activity Optimization module builds two lists for a field team: which stores to visit, and what to do in each one. Both are rebuilt as new data arrives, so the plan a rep sees in the morning reflects last night’s distributor sell-out.
- Visit priorities generated from distributor sell-out data, demographics, and inventory.
- On-device suggestions for orders and pitches during the visit.
- Alerts on compliance issues and share of shelf still to gain.
